Best Bite This Week: Kokikoki Bakehouse
After numerous Portland markets and pop‑ups, Kokikoki Bakehouse has finally opened its first brick‑and‑mortar shop. The team has elevated the experience even further—leaning into rich European butter, high‑grade matcha, and meticulous techniques that make each cookie feel intentionally crafted. Their rotating seasonal flavors keep the menu fresh, with every cookie baked to perfection.
For our beverages, we ordered the Shizuoka Matcha Latte and the Kokikoki Coffee Bean Blend Americano. The matcha stood out as one of the most balanced lattes I’ve had in Portland. Both drinks were excellent, and we’d give them a solid 10/10.
For our cookies, we chose their seasonal offering—the Mango Sticky Rice Cookie—along with the Black Sesame Miso Cookie (a favorite we’ve purchased many times and continue to love). The Mango Sticky Rice Cookie was one of my absolute favorites. The fresh mango on top paired beautifully with the mango brûlée and creamy coconut milk topping.
I would confidently rate Kokikoki Bakehouse a 10/10. These cookies are unique, the passion behind the cookie is so evident, and the team working behind the scenes are truly making something great for this city. Next time you are near the Williams neighborhood, check them out!
